hong kong trip I

for this trip, im the organizer and baby was the coordinator. LOL. he took care of our accommodation and air tickets while i surveyed and checked out the places we could go to and he'd bring us there. even thou i called him a direction idiot most of the time, he somehow did make a good guide in directing the ways to our destinations. at least we didnt get lost. haha.

we both fell sick during the trip. baby had sore throat and cough while im all fine and healthy when i reached there on day 1. somehow, he must have passed the cough bug to me and caused me to fall sick too. i had a lil cough on day 2 and my body was aching on day 2 and 3 and i didnt felt that good while we were out. the bad weather played a part too i guess. the cold wind and the rain did make me felt sick. the lucky thing was we got better towards day 4 and 5.

we took the afternoon flight and reached hong kong at around 530pm. went to the hotel and settled down before going out for dinner. we didnt do much on the first day except for walking around tsim sha tsui district. i had some ham and egg rice for dinner and im shocked at the big portion of rice served. of course, i couldnt finish it at all. LOL.

even thou i could read chinese words quite well, the menu over there are mostly written according to how they would name the dishes in cantonese, so i couldnt understand some of the words on their menu. however, communication was not a problem to us cus they could understand mandarin even thou they cant really speak the language well and in big shopping malls, we used english to converse with them.

day 2 01062010
day planned for a trip to the peak. however, it started raining after our lunch and we went back to our hotel to wait for the rain to stop. baby wanted a change of destination cus of the rain. i refused to heed his suggestion and i insisted on going to the peak. i kept whining to him like a lil girl cus i wanna go to the peak. LOL. we waited till evening when the rain was getting smaller before we set off.

took the mtr and their mtr was really fast and convenient, just like singapore's mrt. i would say the two of them seems exactly the same. free and easy is not a problem in hongkong cus of their good and convenient transport system.

walked quite a distance to the tram station to buy tickets up to the peak. baby was complaining and whining on the way up cus he couldnt find a toilet when he needed one. LOL.

when we reached the peak, it was evening and the wind was really strong and cold!!








i wanted to go up to the peak again when the skies were dark so meanwhile, we decided to go to the madame tussauds. we took hundreds of photos in there so i'll just choose some interesting ones to show.

its still raining and i reserved this day for our shopping day. we went to mongkok despite the bad weather. mongkok is their shopping paradise, just like our bugis. you'd be sure to find all your favourite tops and shoes similar to what we have in far east or bugis but at much cheaper prices! shopped around and bought clothes and shoes at really cheap prices. went to ladies night market for a walk and sad to say, there's not much things there except for a number of imitation goods and some cute keychains and ornaments.

after mongkok, i insisted on going to the avenue of stars thou the weather was really cold and drizzling non-stop. baby had to agree to bring me there thou he was reluctant to do so. LOL.

avenue of stars is also named as victoria harbour. its somewhat similar to our esplanade in city hall. they have musical fountain every monday at 8pm. we missed it!! we should have gone there on monday night when we reached hongkong when its not raining!! arghh.

first month of love.

alright, im seriously too busy to come up here for any updates. ever since baby came back, i've been spending almost everyday with him. there's just too much to say and life is seriously so much more fulfilling with him around! there's never a day spent without fun and laughter. :) so why do i have the time to come up here now? cus baby is in china now, holidaying with his friends. we're not gonna see each other for 1 and a half weeks. but well, the gap is not too bad thou cus im flying off to taiwan on this sunday for a week too.

so what did we do in the month of may? i celebrated baby's birthday with him, he brought me to his birthday dinner with his family to meet them for the first time, went out a couple of times together with his friends, huimin and sueping, stayed over at his house over the weekend and travelled to hongkong together.

and not to mention, he treats me really well, springing surprises on me every now and then to make me happy and see me smile. :) he bought me my favourite snack on my last day of school to surprise me when he fetched me home, he even came and helped me out in school when i had so much filing to be done before PTC thou its boring work to him <3 and he surprised me with the fcuk white watch that i wanted on our 5th monthsary. that was really a surprise to me cus i totally didnt expect him to buy me that watch. and i totally adore how he would always give in to me regardless of whatever i wanna do and wherever i wanna go. he would always remember the things we said we wanna do together or the things that i said i wanna do and would always fulfil them for me. no words could describe how much i appreciate him for being my lovely boyfriend. <3

baby's birthday
celebrated his birthday twice. he brought me to his family dinner without informing his parents beforehand to give them a surprise. they were certainly surprised by my appearance. we were both quite nervous initially but i guess his parents do make good hosts as they joked around while talking to me.

spent his birthday with him on his actual day. went to town and treated him to imperial treasure for dinner and walked around town after that before heading home.







5th monthsary
it was a sunday and i was spending the weekend over at his place. we went out for crystal jade steamboat for dinner and met his friends, zhengyi, aaron and huimin for drinks at barstop after dinner. i was dead beat after drinks and my eyes were already half closed when he drove us home but baby kept bugging me to stay awake cus of some surprise he claimed to have in stored for me. i couldnt really be bothered with what he said cus judging by his past surprises planned for me, he's definitely not one who will divulge his secrets to me so easily. so, i plunged into his bed straight after we reached home. he went to his study room, opened up his safe and into his bedroom, trying to wake me up pulling me and dragging me to his study room. in a daze, with my eyes half closed, i saw the fcuk white watch which i wanted right in front of me, sitting so beautifully in the safe. my first reaction? eyes opened as big as they could and turned around to look at baby with that mouth-opened-in-an-O-shape expression. i was really shocked for words! i was awake instantly! LOL. so he really planned a surprise for me. i really love the watch but i love him more, my sweetest boy. :)


i stayed over at his place over the weekend just before our hongkong trip. it was certainly fun playing xbox together with his brother and him, eating macdonald's for supper with his brother and him and not to forget, having to drink ultra bitter herbal tea his mom would make every morning. LOL. his mom was nice enough to give me some skincare products and even magazine to read during my stay there.

so the next thing im gonna talk about would be the hongkong trip. however, im not gonna talk about it in this post. next post i guess? hopefully i'll complete it before i fly to taiwan on sunday if not bestie is gonna whine to me again for not being able to read anything new after ten thousand years since my last post. haha.

lastly, something meaningful which i read somewhere..

dont be too carried away from dreaming about the future cus what matters most is the present and not engage your thoughts into things you cant forsee. so, sit back, relax and enjoy the present. always be grateful and thankful for what you have now. :) the most precious thing is not built by hand or bought by man, its what you feel from the heart.

first week of love.

baby is back for a week. had our share of love and fun last week. baby is the best boyfriend one could ever ask for! he surprises me every now and then, sending me to work in the morning and fetching me home after work. almost all my colleagues know about his existence now cus he keeps such a high profile of himself hanging around outside my school while waiting for me to knock off. LOL.

there's this one day when i randomly just told him i love to drink bubble tea and guess what? he surprised me with bubble tea the very next day during work! he came all the way to my workplace just to surprise me the bubble tea and he really made my day! <3

we watched Ip man 2 last monday as promised before he came back, went jurong point for dinner on tuesday, went town for sushi tei and kbox and sang like crazy till 1am on wednesday, went to make new spectacles and xin wang for dinner on thursday, went to suntec city and had soup restaurant for dinner and iron man 2 on friday, went to town on saturday afternoon for ramen; shopped around and baby bought a pair of shoes, work on sunday morning and bugis with baby in the noon. he bought shirts and we drove to jurong point for ding tai fung for dinner cus i craved for xiao long baos. LOL.

anyway, we wanted to make the same spectacles actually but our faces are too different to be able to make the same kind of glasses. he chose an orange and black one while i chose an orange half frame one! both baby and the shop owner said i looked good in it. :) i wanted to make black spectacles but somehow black really just doesnt suits me. the shop owner said bright colours suit me more.

well, collected my glasses today, kinda think that it looks normal now, nothing that fantastic as what i thought when i first tried it on. however, baby claimed that it looked really nice on me.

we went to west mall today. had our dinner at food court after eating so much good food for a week. LOL. after dinner, we went to play some arcade games and walked around the mall before sending me home. oh! i tried udders ice cream just now! its so yummilicious! :D

i always enjoy time spent with him no matter what we do or how simple our day may be. i just enjoy his company, all the fun and laughter he brings me and vice versa.

oh! something unbelievable. he tried teaching me driving sometime last week and even now. LOL. he'd always want me to do those basic things for him like signaling left or right and etc while he drives. its actually quite fun to drive and he'd been urging me to get my license which i dont want to cus its useless to me as i very much prefer to be chauffeured around even thou driving may be fun. HAHAHA.

alright, this is the second week of love and i think i shall blog once a week to keep track of the activities we did so as to keep those beautiful memories before he flies back. :)

2weeks to our hong kong trip and 4weeks to my taiwan trip! :D woohoo!

表妹 is 21!

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY VIVIAN CHUA!
how time flies... cousin vivi is 21! the lil rabbit whom we used to call is 21! LOL. we practically played together and grow up together and its really heartwarming to see her turning 21. we were once lil girls who were young and naive but look at us now, at the blink of an eye, we are adults now. what i hate about growing up is the responsibilities that come along. however, i believe vivi will be strong enough to overcome all the obstacles in her life. :)

i guess she's very happy at this point in her life now, with a good family, a lovely boyfriend, close besties and she's a teacher-to-be in the future. i hope she would stay this happy, blessed and lucky throughout the rest of her life. :)

glad that she enjoyed her big day yesterday!! :D and oh, her friends told me that vivi, val and i looked alike, especially our eyes. do we?





outta the 4 childhood playmates, 2 of us already turned 21. so who's the next one? it's gonna be my brother followed by cousin val. damn, i feel so old. :(
